If this is your first time on our site, we specialize in photographing high end weddings and interesting people.  Despite living in a digital age, we primarily shoot with film because its natural look allows us to stand out. This past year we traveled to Charleston, South Africa, New York and Las Vegas among others.  However, the A Bryan Photo studio is located in Birmingham, Alabama, and it provides a great place for our team to perfect our craft and meet with clients.

We are excited about the new features of this site, which was beautifully crafted by Machstic.  The site will allow our clients to enjoy more of their images and provide a platform for our entire catalogue of work.  Although our new site is comprehensive, you can see our work featured in PDN's Top Knots, and we were also selected as a member of Grace Ormonde's Wedding Style's Platinum List.

Thanks for your time and attention.  We don't take it for granted and look forward to providing you with more great photos and interesting stories in the future.

John Dolan Workshop in New York!

John Dolan's work has been such a strong influence in my life for most of my professional career. He was the first photographer that instilled in me that shooting weddings doesn't make you a second rate photographer. John shoots a number of weddings a year while maintaining a high amount of editorial (Self, Real Simple, Travel and Leisure, etc) and advertising (Lexus, Hearts on Fire, Sundance, etc) clients. His wedding work also reminds me constantly that shooting film at weddings remains a good idea. I found out a few weeks ago through our friend Heather Anne Thomas that he was doing a wedding workshop in New York with Holger Thoss and jumped on the opportunity to go. Caleb and I will both be attending this workshop in late July and there are still spots available. If you are available for a trip to New York and are in need of a week of inspiration, please come join us! It's at the International Center for Photography, click HERE for information about the workshop.

Side Note:
The workshop is at night from 6-10 pm, leaving time for shooting during the day! If anyone is interested in a session with me in NYC during the week of July 28th-August 1st, contact me and we will work out the details. Since we are up there already, the prices will be reasonable.
Here's a few shots from some sessions in New York this past Christmas:

Sorry this is so random...I just ran across your blog through another site and had to know-is that girl in the red coat named Erin? She looks like a girl I went to highschool with-I know she lives in NY now...not sure what her married name is...I know her maiden name was Kelley. Small world if it is her!
