Bicycler in Miami

I've always loved catching bicyclers on film.

I have more thoughts on the philosophical relationship between bikes and film, but I have to save something for my book tour...

Peace. - Caleb

Shot with Mamiya RZ67 using Kodak 400NC.

Catherine & Bryan (High Speed)

Here's a quick preview from Catherine and Bryan's wedding in New Orleans this month.
All shot on Leica M6 with Neopan 1600.

Portraits of Emily

This past weekend I had the opportunity to photograph Emily and Jim's wedding here in Birmingham. Above are some of my favorite shots from Emily's bridal portrait session last month! I love these images and can't wait to get their wedding film back next week.

The images were shot on Rolleiflex with Kodak BW 400 CN (Black & White) and Kodak 400 NC (Color).

Beth & Josh (Super 8)

I'm so excited to launch Beth and Josh's wedding in Louisiana. Above is the slideshow of their images but feel free to check out there scroll gallery HERE
Enjoy!

Sarah & Billy (Super 8)

Here's another Super 8 wedding film by our very own Branden Lower.
Our lab, Pro 8mm, is now offering HD scans for our Super 8 footage. This is the first wedding we have gotten done in HD and we are thrilled with the outcome.
Song: Everyday by Vetiver. Go buy it if you like it!
Enjoy!

Lindsay & Jon Mark (Preview)

This shot is a perfect example for why I don't like the bride and groom to see each other before the wedding. This was taken right after the service and I can just sense the relaxation and joy in their demeanor. And its a real moment, not posed. So lovely!

Captured with my Rolleiflex on Kodak 400 CN.

More to come.

Sarah & Billy (Wedding Images)

I'm excited to finally post images from our first wedding of the year, Sarah and Billy!
We are trying out a new format for viewing the images by creating an HD slideshow through Vimeo. We are very pleased with the outcome and may adopt this format moving forward.
This wedding set the bar high 2010. Cool couple, beautiful setting, intimate (20 guests!), and very intentional. The wedding took place at a small chapel in Coral Gables with a reception at the restaurant Casa Tua on South Beach.
Hope you enjoy the new slideshow! Let us know what you think about the format (for full effect, watch in full screen mode).

Beth & Josh (Wedding Preview)

I love this shot of Beth and Josh right after their ceremony at the Houmas House in Louisiana. They had just walked back down the aisle and the guests had thrown birdseed. I grabbed this shot on the Rollei.

It's raining in the French Quarter

Two weeks ago we were in New Orleans photographing the amazing wedding of Beth and Josh (preview coming soon!). My team (Myself, Branden, Caleb) really hit it off with the whole wedding party and they invited us out the after party at a club in the French Quarter. On the way to the party we got caught a huge rain storm without cover or a cab in sight. Luckily, we brought our trusty T4 with us and we were able to make it into a spontaneous photoshoot. It makes me want to do this more. Anyone up for being the subject another rain shoot?

We finally made it to the party and Beth (featured below) welcomed us, despite being soaked.

Me doing my best David Brent impression. Caleb being Caleb.
