Lauren and Philip, New Orleans

Lauren and Philip got married on Little New Year's Eve in New Orleans. The day was incredible, highlighted by one of the most amazing finishes to a wedding I have ever experienced.
For those unfamiliar with NOLA culture, its customary to do a "second line" at wedding receptions. Here's the basic concept. A brass band plays and marches around (they would be the primary line) like in a parade. The guests (the second line) then follow said band while dancing and singing. The guest typically wave hankies while the bride and groom spin parasols. I've photographed second lines in the past but they have all taken place in and around the reception hall. Lauren and Philip, on the other hand, had a police escorted second line down Bourbon Street. Keep in mind this was the day before New Year's Eve and the French Quarter was packed! The experience will go down as one of my top 5 wedding moments of all time. Truly amazing.

I am just so enamored and inspired by this post. I have a September wedding in NOLA and their reception is also at Latrobe's. I just did their engagement session in the quarter and it was crazy, I can't even imagine the energy at night. I adore how you captured it.

Every time I look at photos of our wedding I feel as if my soul immediately time travels back to that day. You captured us and the day so incredibly. I know that I, as well as everyone that views our photos, can see and feel the emotion. Thank you again for everything Bryan!
